My name is Patrick McMorran. I have been an amateur flash designer/developer since 2002, and have always enjoyed designing websites and figuring out how they work. I've been a computer nerd since age 4 when we inherited an old apple, built my first computer at 10, and started fixing computers as a job at 14. I am now currently a junior at Southern Connecticut State University majoring in computer science. I am hoping to pursue higher education and become a grossly overpaid tech guy who walks on water because of his abilities. I actually enjoy programming, which I have found to be rare amongst my peers, but that has never left me short of volunteers to be my partner for development projects.

I have recently started learning Flex, AIR, and PHP, in hopes of developing software for the internet that will show of some of my finesse. I enjoy teaching, and hope at some point I will be able to land a job as a professor or teacher, at least part time. When I worked as a TA for web development classes, it was extremely fun, as showing a student how to complete even a small piece of code would light up their faces, as their result would be colorful, animated, and practical. That was one thing I noted about in my time teaching, students didn't hate programming, they hated the assignments that required 10 lines just to say "hello world" in black and white, or add 1 though 100.

I have been self employed for several years and have held several jobs concurrently, all of which I keep listed in my resume. I have also been the manager of a band, producer of a record label(long story), and house manager of a theater. I generally enjoy trying new things, and love a challenge, especially an impossible one.
